To everyone out there who assumes that being white/cis/het/male makes you inherently a bad person, and that discrimination of ANY sort directed towards people who fit into that category is somehow justified because they’re the “majority”,, I would takegreat pleasure in punching you in the face repeatedly until you stopped being such a goddamn idiot and started actually promoting real equality.

Next time I hear someone say I’m guilty of “white privilege” and “cultural appropriation” based solely on the fact that I’m white and nothing else, I WILL smack a fool.

But, you are, because that’s what white privilege is. You have white privilege because you are white. In fact, the fact that you think you can and DO divorce yourself from the fact that you have it, and the fact that this is supported by others is white privilege in itself.

Ouch.  From a friend?  I don’t expect strangers to make assumptions about my character and how I think and live my life, but I’d never have ever thought it could come from someone who was friends with me. 

The bottom line is that you should never analyze anyone but yourself.  Don’t ever attach phrases or concepts or assumptions or social diseases to another person, especially if such a thing is based on what color they are.  You don’t know where I’ve lived or who I know or what I think every day, so you cannot possibly tell me who I am. As for me personally actually having white privilege, I live in Hawaii, I can tell you with authority that it doesn’t exist here, so knock it off.  It makes me sick in my heart to live in a world where people can preach about getting rid of racist thoughts and ideas, as long as they don’t apply to white people.  Don’t ever tell me who I am.  And of someone else tells you you’re hurting them, and to stop doing it, sure you can do whatever you want and say no, but you still shouldn’t out of basic decency. 

I thought we were all moving toward something bigger.  I’m really sorry, but I just can’t stomach that.
